Polycrystalline solar modules

Polycrystalline solar panels, or multi-crystalline solar panels, belong to the first generation of silicon crystalline solar panels and give the highest efficiency. The crystalline solar panels have been around for more than 40 years and are a reliable and proven technology.

Polycrystalline solar panels can easily be recognised by the blue colour and the sometimes mosaic-like pattern on the surface of the panel. The solar cells of polycrystalline solar panels consist of several coarse crystals. Due to the different crystals, less sunlight is converted into electricity than with monocrystalline solar panels. The difference in return is one to a few percents. Poly panels offer high efficiency at a good price. These panels are very suitable for roofs with a lot of free surfaces.
